A Dao Christmas, part 2

After the service, the food cooking began. They brought out 2 pigs to kill. Pigs are a very big and expensive thing in Dao
culture. They said "This is a big day, and just like the Israel people would only give God their best (sheep), we will only give
our best." In Dao culture before a domesticated pig is shot, they will allegedly take all their sickness and put it into the pig,
and then kill it. This is a form of their sorcery. However before they shot these 2 pigs, they prayed to God. They said, "We are
leaving this spirit stuff behind, and we are killing these pigs to show that You are big and to worship You". Thank-you Creator
One."
In some ways we enjoyed sitting in the dirt, praising God with our Dao friends eating pig and rodent, more than we would have eating
a big meal in a fancy place.
We are most thankful to our Creator, who left an awesome place to come and live in this fallen world with the purpose of dying,
paying the sacrifice for our sins, then overcoming death in order to give us new life. Who could ask for a better present.
(the photo is everyone gathered in a little tent-like structure that they built special for the big celebration)
