We've been trying to sprout some avocado seeds for several months now. We were told if we hung them in a small cup or jar and filled
the water up until it covered the seed half way, it would begin to grow roots and a sprout out the top. We haven't seen any signs
of it sprouting yet. So far, we've tried this with 6 different avocado seeds. All we've managed to grow so far is mold. Well, Derek
discovered a small little avocado tree growing in our compost pile where we'd previously thrown out those old moldy seeds, and
transplanted it to a better spot. We might have an avocado tree yet!
