Making Umbrellas

It seems to be the time of year that the ladies make umbrellas. There have been several ladies here over the past couple weeks
making new ones. First, they collect these tough leaves with little thorns on the edges, and dry them over the fire while they
scrape them with bamboo tongs to get the thorns off. I didn't do much, just wrapped up the already dried leaves while the ladies
were drying them.
