The Sting of Death

We don't mean for this blog to sound like an obituary page or something. It seems that death has become much a part of our lives
over these past several months. Death is a reality that we all face, but it seems that the Dao deal with it allot. It is not out
of the ordinary for a mother to loose several children, and it is a minority for a Dao child to still have both Father and Mother
living.
Across our world, I think death and the unknowns that go along with that are the things that cause the most fear, and the most
sorrow.
After being the witness to many deaths over these past several months, I will join the Apostle Paul as he yells out in 1Corninthians
15:55 saying "Death, where is your victory, Where is your sting?" And then be comforted by verse 57 which says "Thank God! He gives
us victory over sin and death, through the Lord Jesus Christ."
It seems that often times when someone dies, God is blamed for it. I don't know why, because death is a coming and real thing for
all of us. It should make us rejoice, that the sting of death is taken away when we trust that Christ, God's Son, gave us victory
over death, because He with His own body died, forgiving our sins, so we could have eternal life.
This baby was too young to believe and she is in God's loving and just hands now. For ones like Bodanimena, Omaniuwo, and Todopui,
I will praise my God for taking away the sting of death.
For ones that reject the saving news of the Gospel, and for those who have not heard it yet, when they die, I will continue to weep,
because the sting of death is still there.
