Yesterday, my friend Moipi was making a new string skirt, which is called a moge. These skirts are made from the inside layer of
bark. They chew the pieces in their mouths (to make it pretty, they said. It also seems to make the bark softer), dry them in the
sun, roll the center and tie it onto another string that is used to tie around their waste, and finally hung to dry over the fire.
You can see the pieces of bark hanging behind her while she gets the string that is tied around her waste ready.
